Toad River July 27

As the day started out a bit chilly, windy and cloudy, we decided to take a drive down to Toad River. I said in a passed post that I wanted to see a Caribou in the wild and thought that we were here at the wrong time of year. It looks like we were just in the wrong place. Just out side our campground I saw my first one. A female and calf.

I have to say, that made my day. As we drove down the road, we came across this mama and her calf.

Then we came across Folded Mountain.

And then there was these handsome fellows.

The young bull moose we saw on our way back. All in all, it was a great day for seeing wild life.

Tomorrow, off to Ft. Nelson
