Terrace June 30 2021
The scenery on the way to Terrace did not disappoint. I did manage to get a couple of decent photos out the windshield. Sometimes works, sometimes not.
Ferry Island Municipal Campground was our next stop. This is located on an Island that you have to cross to get to Terrace. Very nice, any size rigs can fit here. No hook ups, no sewer dump. The vegetation here is massive. The Cottonwoods and Birch are the biggest I have ever seen. How about this Devils Club. There are Cottonwoods that are more than 3ft. diameter and 150 ft. high.
Skeena River from the park.
A couple of things to note.
It does not get very dark at night here and for only four hours, still light at eleven and light at three. That means that the birds are up early, very early. Getting used to it though, at least I am😏 That should not be a problem much longer as the babies should be on their own soon.
The traffic has been very light and not to much construction, so nice traveling.
Tomorrow the Nisga'a Valley.
