Boya Lake July 13-14

Another nice Provincial Park, although, again many mosquitos. Not sure what happened here but I did not take any pictures of the lake. Probably didn't want to get out of the truck to get eaten.

A very short drive from Dease Lake to Boya Lake, with Good Hope Lake in between. Guess what, closed due to Covid, as I said I still had lots of fuel but not if we wanted to explore. So we checked into the PP, unhooked and decided to drive the 109 km into Watson Lake to fuel up. There is a covid check point as you leave hwy 37 and join the Alcan. We had to fill out a declaration that we had both shots and did not need to isolate for 14 days. Good, set to explore the Yukon.

We did drive out to Cassiar and stopped at Jade City. There is a fellow there that is trying his best to clean up all the equipment and junk left up there. I think he will need a few life times. This is a very small portion of the mess.

Tailings.

It was cold up there.

Jade City was kind of cool, lots of tourist things made out of Jade and other rocks and minerals. Wandered around a bit and resisted the temptation to buy something I didn't need.

Off to the Yukon tomorrow.
