Wells Gray June 21

As promised, today was Wells Gray PP. We grabbed a couple of Subs for lunch and headed up to Clearwater Lk. It is 79 km from Clearwater town to the Lake. The pavement ends at Helmcken Falls at 49 km. They wet down the road with something to keep the dust down, so we got a a little dirty but its worth it.

We went for a short hike in the campground, this creek emptying into the Clearwater River.

Back down the road to Helmcken Falls. A short walk to the viewing area and your there. I have never seen that much water over the falls but we have never been here at this time of year before. It drops 141 meters to the canyon below. It is the forth highest waterfall in Canada.

We ate our lunch at Dawson Falls. It was starting to get hot, so we decided to head back and make sure Jack did not get to hot closed up in the trailer. He was just fine but it did get very warm today, well over 30 deg.

Heading North again tomorrow, not to sure how far we will get but I think a little farther than the last move.
