Purden Lk. P.P. June 22
This was the longest drive so far, almost five hours. Good enough for one day. We did have a couple of stops, let Jack out to stretch his legs. Although he is not the most lovey cat, he sure is a good traveler.
Provincial Parks so far.
We have stayed in Paul Lk., Purden Lk. and now Beaumont Lk. We also looks at Thompson River and Pyramid. Pyramid is up the road to Wells Gray PP. They all are great, you could get any size rig into all of them. Lots of room and bush between sites. Very few people here mid week, they fill up on the weekends. Our trick so far is to show up Wed. and stay till Sun. They all have water and a dump. Paul Lk. had a boil water advisory. Prices so far are between $18:00 and $22:00.
As expected, there are lots of mosquitoes up here. We had heard the Thermocell system is worked, so we bought a couple and so far are working great. They are not cheap to buy or run but they work.
On to Beaumont PP
