Beaumont Lk. June 23, 24.
From Purden Lk. to Beaumont is only a two and a half hour drive but we did have to stop at Costco for propane. They have diesel at the Costco but it was a zoo around there, so we bought it at the Husky for a bit more a liter. On our way to Beaumont the Garmin GPS started to act up. It is not new by any means, so the next morning we drove the hour and a half back to P George to buy a new one at London Drugs. If we had problems with it we can take it back to the London Drugs in Gibsons. I have Nav. in the truck but we like to set each GPS at a different distance, that way we can see more detail around us and were the road leads up ahead. I think the new one will find places that the old maps in the truck can't.
On our way back we drove through Vanderhoof, Fort Fraser and then to Fraser Lk. All neat tidy little towns, looks like they are doing well in spite of the past few months.
Fraser Lk. has a free, by donation campground on the lake, no services and they ask to limit your stay to two days.
We are not sure what Jack thinks of these. Sure is comical watching him around them, he is not much of a hunter, although if one makes a mistake it could mean the end.
Off to Ft. St. James today, will have more photos I hope.
Enjoying the updates!
