Nisga'a Valley July 1 2021

 This is a side trip well worth taking, rich in history and natural beauty. In 1750 there was an volcanic eruption. The lava flowed out of a small cinder cone and down the valleys to the Nass River. The lava covered 39 sq. km and was over 12 meters deep. over two thousand people lost the lives in the lava. I am sure the local villages would have some fascinating history but they are still closed to visitors.
